Pots of Power: Dragon's Blessing Slot
Pots of Power Dragon's Blessing saves most of its ambition for the bonus game. AvatarUX starts with a very conventional 5x3 slot, but triggering the main feature shifts the action to a huge 8x7 grid where three different Dragon Areas can modify collected Coins. The contrast is significant, and while the regular game can feel basic, the bonus has considerably more going on as the Dragon Areas grow and begin interacting with larger portions of the grid.
The game uses 5 reels, 3 rows and 25 paylines, with stakes from 0.10 to 100. Volatility is high, the hit frequency is 31.36% and the maximum payout reaches 10,000x the bet. Default RTP is 96.07%, although substantially lower 94.03% and 90.52% configurations are also available. The Chinese-inspired presentation is filled with gold, jade and traditional architecture, with red, yellow and blue dragons positioned above the reels.

Wilds provide the main base-game feature. A Wild landing on reels 2, 3 or 4 can expand to cover its entire reel before receiving a multiplier from the corresponding Dragon. When the expanded Wild contributes to a payline win, its multiplier is applied to that payout. If several expanded Wild reels participate in the same win, their multiplier values are added together.
Bonus symbols can randomly trigger the Dragon Area Bonus Game, activating one, two or all three Dragon Areas. The feature moves to an 8x7 grid and begins with 3 spins. Coins lock when they land and reset the counter to 3, with the round continuing until the spins expire or all 56 positions are occupied. Filling the entire grid awards the 5,000x Grand Jackpot. Upgrade symbols corresponding to each Dragon are collected separately, with every 3 increasing that Dragon's active area by one level up to a maximum size of 3x3.
Each colour modifies Coins differently. The Red Dragon adds the same random amount to every Coin covered by its area, while the Yellow Dragon applies a multiplier to each covered Coin. The Blue Dragon is more unusual, giving affected Coins a chance to transform into Mini, Minor or Major Jackpot symbols worth 20x, 100x or 500x the bet. Existing Jackpot symbols can also be upgraded again, potentially moving towards the 500x Major. Where purchases are available, 80x the bet triggers the bonus with between one and three Dragon Areas, while 250x guarantees that all three are active from the beginning.
There's a sizeable gap between the two halves of Pots of Power Dragon's Blessing. Expanding multiplier Wilds give the base game something to do, but the conventional layout and rather dated-looking presentation don't show AvatarUX at its most creative. The 8x7 bonus is much better developed. Growing Dragon Areas from small frames towards 3x3 zones gives the feature visible progression, while Adders, Multipliers and Jackpot transformations provide three genuinely different ways of improving the collected Coins.
It's an alright concept surrounded by an uninspired package, and the alternative RTP settings are particularly unattractive. The Dragon Area system gives the game some substance, but Dragon's Blessing never quite develops enough personality around it to become one of AvatarUX's more memorable releases.
