Gamdolls Slot

Gamdolls is an exclusive release available on Gamdom casino only.

Gamdolls gives Kitsune Studios one of its more unsettling settings, surrounding the reels with abandoned dolls, battered wood and a dark room that looks suitably unpleasant. The horror presentation is distinctive enough, but the gameplay underneath is considerably less surprising. Stackways once again provides the foundation, and anyone familiar with games such as The Library Overdue or earlier Stackways releases will recognise the concept immediately.

Played across 5 reels and 4 rows, Gamdolls uses variable ways to win rather than fixed paylines. Stackways symbols carry values of 2, 3 or 4, while Revealing Stackways can display anything from 5 to 10. When activated, the relevant reel is filled with that number of matching paying symbols, with the game selecting the most favourable available symbol. This can increase the base game to as many as 100,000 ways to win.

Three FS Scatters trigger Are They Watching Us? with 10 Free Spins. Two paying symbols are selected as Specials, and whenever one appears across at least three reels, the corresponding reels can expand to contain between 2 and 10 copies. Stackways Boosters can also appear, with each increasing the minimum Stackways value across all five reels by +1, up to a maximum improvement of +10.

Landing 4 FS Scatters instead activates They're Alive, again providing 10 Free Spins. The underlying mechanics remain similar, but Special symbol expansions no longer reset the accumulated Stackways Booster increases. This allows the feature to build much more aggressively, with the expanded setup capable of reaching as many as 3,200,000 ways to win.

Several enhanced modes provide quicker access to the mechanics. BonusHunt FeatureSpins cost 3x the normal stake and make a bonus five times more likely, while 50x Stackways FeatureSpins guarantee at least two Stackways symbols. Are They Watching Us? can be purchased for 100x the bet, with the stronger They're Alive feature costing 300x. Gamdolls carries a 96.3% RTP, high volatility and payout potential reaching 20,000x the bet.

Gamdolls is therefore stronger in presentation than originality. The creepy doll theme is well executed and fits the increasingly chaotic reel expansions nicely, while the persistent Booster progression in They're Alive gives the premium bonus a meaningful advantage rather than simply making it a slightly enhanced version of Free Spins. The problem is that Stackways itself has become very familiar, leaving the base game particularly dependent on a mechanic that no longer feels novel. There's enough potential and escalation here to make Gamdolls entertaining when the features get moving, but Kitsune's excellent horror presentation deserved a more original set of mechanics behind it.
