Treasure Tumble: Slot Overview
In 2015, the sunken Spanish galleon San José was rediscovered off the coast of Colombia, said to be carrying, amongst other things, 11 million gold coins and 200 tons of silver and emeralds. An enormous haul, and to this day, other sunken treasure ships remain on the bottom of the sea waiting to be discovered. It is in this frame of mind that we approach developer Relax Gaming's Treasure Tumble, another entry in the studio's long-running series of 'Tumble' slots, and one that pairs the clustering and tumbling with increasing position multipliers, roaming wild free spins, and more.
No animation sets the scene this time, so players are plunged right into the deep end after clicking to continue. Literally, as we found ourselves down in the deep, somewhere dark and murky, floating alongside Scarlett Spinz, covered head to foot in scuba diving gear. She surveys a gaming grid wedged to the back of a sunken ship, hopefully filled to the brim with chests of rich stuff that have lain untouched for hundreds of years. Trigger free spins, and suspicions are confirmed, as play moves inside a boat littered with shiny coins. Whilst not as vivid as Ancient Tumble or Cluster Tumble, for example, Treasure Tumble nevertheless paints a promising environment for a spot of treasure hunting to occur.

Treasure Tumble's play area is an 8x8 grid where, in the base game, live symbols land alongside blocker symbols. To get a win, winning clusters consist of 5 or more matching symbols connected vertically and/or horizontally. Hidden even deeper is Treasure Tumble's highly volatile math model, and when betting $/€0.20 to $/€100 per spin, the RTP is 96.1%.
Pay symbols down in the deep are J-A card ranks, triangles, diamonds, hexagons, and skulls. The largest possible clusters are 10+ OAK in size, and they award 0.25x to 2x the stake. All types of wilds substitute for all paying symbols when evaluating wins.
Treasure Tumble: Slot Features

Winning symbols and all other symbols matching the winning cluster are removed from the reels, creating empty positions that are filled by a symbol tumble. Tumbles repeat until no new win appears. A multiplier is placed in the positions of winning symbols, as well as the positions of removed matching symbols that were not part of the win. Position multipliers start at x1 after the first win and double each time a win is formed on that position up to x1,024. Multipliers are additive when used with other multipliers in the same win. Multipliers are removed for the next base game spin.
Base Game Blocker Feature Symbols
Blockers are removed when they are adjacent to cluster wins or adjacent to other symbols matching the winning symbols that are removed. Modifiers locked inside blockers are activated once the blocker is destroyed.
- Radial Bomb - Destroys blockers that are in indirect contact with it.
- Vertical Bomb - Destroys all blockers on its reel.
- Mega Bomb - Destroys all blockers, triggering free spins.
- Tumble Wild - Generates an x1 or x2 wild. As it tumbles down the reels, its value is multiplied by any positional multiplier it lands in. This repeats with each tumble until the wild is used in a win or tumbles end.
- Wild Blast - Fires a random number of wilds to active symbol positions.
- Symbol Trade - Picks the symbol with the lowest amount on the reels and converts them to another symbol.
Galleon Bonus
The Galleon Bonus is triggered by landing 3 bonus scatter symbols, when the Mega Bomb activates, or by clearing every blocker off the grid. When triggered by scatters, before the Galleon Bonus begins, scatter symbols may transform into compass wilds. Up to 3 at once are possible. Compass wilds shift one position on each spin, win, or tumble into an adjacent blank space only. They do not have their own multiplier, but they inherit the multiplier of the position they land. Compass wilds remain on the reels till the feature ends.
Players are awarded 8 free spins and there are no blockers in the round. Position multipliers start at x1 after the first win, persist, and may grow up to x1,024 on each position. Landing a bonus symbol in this bonus or the super bonus grants +3 free spins and the chance to become a compass wild (provided there aren't three of them already).
Super Galleon Bonus
If the grid's frame turns gold and the bonus round is triggered, the Super Galleon Bonus is awarded instead. All position multipliers on the triggering spin are carried over and do not reset.
Upgrade Spins & Feature Buys
In this section, players can activate Enhanced Spins to increase the chance of triggering a bonus or super bonus for 2x the bet. The Galleon Spins start each spin with position multipliers of x16, x32, x64, or x128 for 30x, 60x, 120x, or 240x the bet, respectively. Lastly, Bonus Reels at 10x the bet increase the chance of triggering a bonus by removing all regular paying symbols. Gamblers may also buy into the Galleon Bonus for 100x their bet or the Super Galleon Bonus, where all position multipliers start at x2 for 350x.

Treasure Tumble: Slot Verdict
Treasure Tumble is a sort of Tumble game meets Sugar Rush meets Jammin' Jars, all rolled into one. The symbol values are quite low, suggesting that lengthy sequences of cascades are possible. And while this may happen, during the review, Treasure Tumble wasn't as noticeably lengthy as Cluster Tumble, which could roll and roll, and roll some more, till inflation had eaten away the profits. This time, symbol values are also possibly held in check due to position multipliers, which can hit x1,024, and while Relax Gaming might have taken cues from the likes of Sugar Rush, the studio has injected its own touches to the mechanic to augment the flow and trigger intrigue.
For one thing, not only does Treasure Tumble have wilds, it does some pretty cool stuff with them, such as the way tumble wilds increase their value when tumbling into position multipliers. Then there's the whole Jammin' Jars roaming wild during free spins, getting multipliers as they move about. Then there is the extra assist provided by the removal of symbols that match winners but were not part of clusters themselves, helping increase positional multipliers in other parts of the grid. Basically, there is a lot of potential multiplier action on the reels, provided by various avenues. Furthermore, in the base game, releasing blocker features keeps the pace moving in what is or can be a very busy slot.
The 10,000x win cap could have been lifted higher, in order to really let the long list of features go wild, and for Treasure Tumble to compete harder with slots like Sugar Rush or Duck Hunters. And so, while Treasure Tumble didn't have quite the same visual wow as Cluster Tumble or Ancient Tumble, it has a lot of interlinking parts that have the technical ability to produce mesmerising flows of activity should they cut loose.
Treasure Tumble mixes familiar tumble and multiplier ideas into a fast-moving, feature-heavy slot that can deliver satisfying flows of action.
